New in beauty: repurchases and essentials

New in beauty

This collective haul is just a few beauty essentials I picked up lately. Most of them are 'maintenance' type products that I picked up as a repurchase and have loved for years, and then there are some new, more exciting picks too.

Dartmouth summer 2016 picture diary

Dartmouth 2016 picture diary
I realised I never shared the pictures I took while I was in Dartmouth last summer. It was a really chill time and it's such a picturesque town~  It was just the 'English' boost I needed once I came back from Japan. The holiday was perfect- we went to the beach, had ice cream, went to National Trust places and for walks in the countryside <3

Seaside dreaming// Botany Bay

Botany Bay Kent
We've just started getting a little bit of sun here in the UK, and it's making me dream of summer and picnics and the beach! And then I realised I didn't share that many pictures of my summer holiday last year, apart from in my Summer Goals Revisited post.  I went on a mini break to my favourite beach with my family, which was sooo well needed! Cheesy chips on the beach, yes please! So yeah, these are some pictures from my intensely chill weekend at the beach :)

I want a holidaaaaay~
Do you guys have any summer plans?

Empties post #2 nail varnish and hair products

Back with another empties post! This post has a lot of nail varnish in because I'm trying to streamline my makeup and use up all of my old nail varnishes. (some of them are actually like 7 years old, whoops...) I think I've done fairly well! I've told myself I can't buy a new nail varnish until I've used up all the ones that are over 3 years old, so I'm working hard, haha.

Slip dress and Sukajan OOTD

Slip dress and Sukajan OOTD
This OOTD was just something I wore to uni last week, featuring the ASOS slip dress from my recent haul post, and a shirt and Sukajan I bought in shinsaibashi last year.

I thought about wearing this cardigan with it, but in the end I went with the Sukajan.

Slip dress// ASOS
Grid shirt// H&M Japan
Boots// Dr Martens
Cardigan// My mum's <3
Sukajan// Shinsaibashi
Necklace// Primark
Rings// Oxfam/ Oh My Clumsy Heart

Why can't I pull normal faces like a normal human... That is the question.
Anyway, I'm excited for spring fashion, how about you guys? I've got a couple more new pieces in recently, so look out for a haul post soon! Thanks for reading!

Last walk in Osaka (for now)

Japanese street at night
On my last night in Japan, I was on my own so I decided to have one last walk around my favourite area of Osaka- Amemura, Dotombori and Shinsaibashi. Prepare for a post full of blurry iphone pics and a tonne of feelings....

Last night in Osaka: where I stayed

Osaka skyline
The last night in Japan was an emotional one for me for sure. I was travelling back halfway across the world on my own, and I was really sad to be leaving Japan. But excited to be home, too. It was weird. Anyway, I was taking the plane from Kansai Intl. airport early in the morning (like 9am) so I wanted the lowest- stress way of getting there, by myself, on time, carrying 2 heavy suitcases. My uni was hours away from KIX, so I decided the least stress option for me would be to get an airbnb close to one of the stops on the Haruka airport express.

Last Osaka days: packing, errands and goodbyes :'(

Dotonbori, Osaka
My year abroad was soon coming to a close, and on the last couple of days I had in Osaka I hung out with friends and ran some errands. It was super hot, so I didn't want to go anywhere too far, I just hung out in town.

New in fashion haul and try on // Vintage, Depop, ASOS, Public Desire etc

Vintage haul

Since returning to the UK, I think I've been fairly restrained when it comes to buying clothes. I'm really trying to be more intentional when I buy things, to buy more secondhand and vintage. Everything I've bought second hand I absolutely love, plus, it's better for the environment and supporting a good cause.  Also, I'm studying a lot more, so I haven't had the time or money to go clothes shopping really. Still, I did manage to pick up a few things, so here's a little mini haul and try on of the new pieces I've got in the last few months.

The best grey hair dye?! Makki Professional Hair Colouring mask in Grey review and before and after

Makki professional hair colouring mask Grey
I've been really interested in getting my hair a darker grey for a while now, but after Colour Freedom's Misty Grey didn't turn out as dark as I'd hoped (although it did look nice) I decided to go with a different brand. Youtuber Sophdoesnails uses the Makki Professional Hair Colouring Mask in grey and her hair looks amazing, so I decided to take the plunge and try it out.

New in// Uni essentials haul

Uni essentials haul
As I mentioned in my back to uni wish list post a while back, I'm determined to make my room really cute and somewhere that's relaxing to be this year. I'm not 'finished', but I think it's coming along nicely :) So here's a little haul of the things I bought that I'd consider 'Uni Essentials'. Most of them are pretty cheap and cheerful too. Some of these things I bought absolutely months ago, but I thought I'd round it up into one post. It's not exactly pinterest perfect, but I definitely want to do a room tour/plant tour of here too.
