My style goals 2017

My style goals 2017

My style has evolved a tonne since I started this blog, but there are still things I want to change, perfect and/or experiment with, and I thought I'd share a couple of my style goals today:

Japanese streets// Part 7

Japanese streets part 7
I love Japanese architecture- something about the signs everywhere in the cities, the grey and ugly tiled apartment buildings, and seeing 止まれ written on the roads makes it so different to streets here in the UK. I took a tonne of pictures while I was exploring on my year abroad, and I didn't get round to sharing them all, so I started this mini series sharing some of the pictures of random places I find aesthetically pleasing. Enjoy!

How living in Japan changed my style

How living in Japan changed my style

I didn't think living in Japan would change my style thaaat much- after all, I'd liked Japanese fashion for a few years before I did my year abroad in Osaka. However, there's definitely a few things that I changed up last year! Apart from getting fashion inspiration from people around, I can understand Japanese way better so read a tonne more fashion magazines and also subscribed to loads of Japanese Youtubers. I tried some more 'mote kei' styles. So anyway, here's some of the ways living in Japan changed my style.

I didn't share all of my pictures though, so I started this mini series sharing some of the pictures of random places I find aesthetically pleasing. Enjoy!

How to maintain pastel pink hair

Pastel hair is so gorgeous, and pastel pink is definitely one of my favourite colours to have my hair. However, pink and warmer colours wash out the fastest, so pastel pink can be a pain in terms of fading out quickly. Here are my tips on how I kept my hair from fading.

Empties post #3 Lush, Bleach London, Garnier, Soap and Glory and more

Empties post: Lush, Garnier, Bleach London

Another empties post today! I'm still on a 'using things up' hype, and even though I've broken my 'one in one out' rule, (I'm never going to be a real minimalist...) I wanna try and get back on track. A lot of the empties this time are things I really liked, so I've repurchased a lot of them already.

Japanese streets// Part 5

Japanese streets Part 5

I love Japanese architecture, the cities, and how different 'everyday' suburban Japan looks to the suburbs at home. I took a fair few pictures of random side streets while I was on my year abroad in Osaka, and I didn't publish them all, so I'm publishing them now in this mini series.

Life lately//

life lately

I think I'm definitely getting back into the blogging routine lately. But I no longer do monthly roundup posts like I did when I was in Japan, so I thought I'd do a little catch up post today on what I've been up to in the past month or so :)

Hair update: Pink-tinted unicorn hair with Bleach London

Pink tinted unicorn hair with Bleach London
It's exam season, and I was feeling a little down, so I thought I'd change up my hair colour a little bit. I did it on a little of a whim, but I was sooo happy with this hair! The reason I changed the colour was simply that I'd ran out of grey hair dye. I had some Bleach London Awkward Peach and Rosé left over, so I decided to use them up and have a little change. I mixed them up with conditioner so it made it more of a tint, and it went over my more yellow roots, the silver ish mid sections (from Makki grey) and the blue tinted ends (from L'Oreal colorista lilac) of my hair to make the perfect unicorn dip dye effect <3

Online collective haul// ASOS, Amazon, Bluebird tea co. etc

online collective haul: ASOS, Amazon, Bluebird tea co etc.
So last haul post I told you I went mad and got really spendy, and it wasn't an exaggeration! I used some of my birthday money to do some online shopping too. I didn't buy this all at once, but I thought I'd combine it into one juicy collective haul :)

Hanami and Ladurée Macarons in London

Hanami and Ladurée Macarons in London
Over Easter I had a really cute London date- it was a really cute (and relatively chill) day out in London, and the blossom was lovely so I thought I'd share some pics :) It's been a while since I was in London to see the Christmas lights, and I don't go that often any more (except to pass through) so we went to a lot of touristy places in central London and walked around a lot. We ate lunch in Regent's Park and saw the blossom, and also managed to cross off something that's been on my to do list for a while- getting some macarons from Ladurée. So expensive, but they were yummy :) We also had tea and cake in St Martin in the Fields. A perfect date, if you ask me <3

Leeds collective haul// Lush, Village, Urban Outfitters and more

Leeds collective haul: Lush, Village, Urban outfittersSo it's just been my birthday last month and I was away from Leeds for a while, so when I got back up, safe to say I went a little mad. I had such a "Leeds hipster" day- I went to urban outfitters, Lush aaand an independent bookshop too. (Someone pass me my bucket hat and vintage puffer jacket) anyway. I thought I'd do a lil post about all the things I picked up over the last week or so :)

Schwarzkopf Live Steel Silver 098 review and before and after

Schwarzkopf Live Steel Silver 098 review and before and after
After Stylepeaches' review, I was really excited to try out Schwarzkopf's silver hair dye, so the last time I bleached my roots, I put this over the top. A bit of a mixed-bag review from me if I'm honest. I bought this when I was having a bit of a 'hair emergency'- I'd just bleached my roots, but I forgot I'd left my ride or dye grey hair dye (Makki professional colouring mask in grey) at home, so I really needed something that I could buy from town quickly, and something I knew would probably work.
