Collective haul: vintage clothes, plants and Japanese makeup

collective haul
Back with a haul post today, I was planning on doing a huuuge haul with another couple of things, but it's been a while so I thought I'd just bite the bullet and post these now.

What I wore for the Summer Ball 2017

Summer ball this year was a bit strange for me... my boyfriend and a couple of my close friends from my course were all away doing term abroad, but luckily most of the brunch squad and a couple of my other good mates were still here, so I had a great time~ It's not really an OOTD as such, but I thought I'd share what I wore to the summer ball- a little grungy but still a little glam.

Red lips for Summer OOTD

Red lips for Summer OOTD
A bit more of a casual OOTD today, I thought I'd keep it chill with just a mirror shot of what I was wearing a few days ago.

How to remove hair dye stains

A bit of a different type of post today, but since I have been dying my hair unnatural colours for a few years now. I thought I'd share my tips on what to do if you've spilled hair dye, or if it's got somewhere it shouldn't.

Bleaching your roots at home: My advice

Bleaching your roots at home: My advice

I've been bleaching my roots for a few years now, so I thought I'd finally write a post on my advice for how to retouch your roots yourself at home. Although it seems terrifying at first, bleaching your roots yourself is fairly easy, and will save you a lot of money too. I'm not a hairdresser, these tips are just things I've picked up over the years (mixed with some common sense stuff like reading the instructions). Have fun, be careful and be fabulous <3

Looking after bleached hair: My hair care routine and favourite products

I'm no hairdresser, but I've been bleaching my hair at home for over 4 years now (and my hair is still on my head!) so I thought I'd share my two cents about bleaching hair and caring for bleached/ damaged hair. So after sharing my bleached hair care routine in Japan last year, here's a post on my favourite products in the UK, and some tips for keeping your hair in fairly good condition.

All about the JLPT N2: my experience and study tips

All about the JLPT N2: my experience and study tips

Last July, I took the JLPT (Japanese language proficiency test) Level N2 and, without blowing my own trumpet too much, I smashed it. I'd only been studying Japanese for 2 years as well! So I thought I'd do a post on my JLPT experience, and how I studied for it.

Paris next time bucket list

Paris next time bucket list

I went to Paris for the first time a couple of months ago, and I totally get why everyone is obsessed. I am desperate to go back, and as it's only a couple of hours from my house by train, I'm sure I'll get back there sooner or later! Here's a quick bucket list of some of the places I want to go and things I want to do:

Empties post #4

Back with another empties post~ I'm moving soon-ish, so I'm really trying to use stuff up so I don't have to cart 40 different half empty beauty products around Leeds :') I managed to use up a few bits and pieces:

Grungy summer style

Summer style
The other day I managed to rope my super talented photographer friend Demetria Claire into doing a little mini photoshoot with me! She shoots on film, so these look so different to my normal DSLR shots! It was a really hot day, so this outfit is me trying to do summer but with a little grungey edge.

Japanese streets 8

Japanese streets 8
I love Japanese architecture- something about the multitude of signs and neon in the cities, the grey and ugly tiled apartment buildings, and seeing 止まれ written on the roads makes it so different to here in the UK. I took a tonne of pictures while I was exploring on my year abroad, and I didn't get round to sharing them all, so I started this mini series sharing some of the pictures of random places I find aesthetically pleasing. Enjoy!
