Shinkansen and Shibuya: Tokyo trip part one

Shibuya, Shibuya 109, Tokyo
This is gonna be the first post about my visit to Tokyo!
The purpose of the trip (apart from going to a really awesome city of course) was to go and visit my beloved boyfriend.
I might do another post on this another time, but we're currently 500 km apart, with me in Osaka and him in Tokyo. It's pretty tough, because I got used to seeing him all the time last year. Two months without seeing him is the longest time we've ever been apart.

Anyway, on with the main post! I went by shinkansen, because I wanted the maximum time in Tokyo. Of course there are cheaper ways to get there, like by night bus or budget airlines such as Peach, but as it was my first time, I wanted to go by the easiest way. I also wanted to try the magical shinkansen.
Shinkansen

My friend and I rode the Nozomi (the fastest Shinkansen) and the journey took only 2 and a half hours, and inside the train was spacious and there weren't many people. This might have something to do with the fact that there seemed to be about 4 trains an hour(!). You don't need to make a reservation, and the price doesn't change if you book in advance. I think it costs more to book a seat, but if you're set on a window seat, and seeing mount Fuji, you might wanna book a seat. For Osaka to Tokyo, its row E I think. I didn't get to see Fuji san in the end though, because it got too dark. #fail
I love Japanese scenery so much! Of course I couldn't capture it very well on camera though.

I got in to Tokyo Station, where I was met by my darling <3 we then met up with our mate and went to Shibuya:

So cool. I've been reading about Shibuya 109 and Tokyo and Japanese fashion for the longest time, so I was pretty starstruck!

So many people! I also found Hachiko, which was in the GALS! manga a lot. In case anyone's wondering, my life's goal is to be Kotobuki Ran.
Shibuya, Hachiko,

After a brief wander round Shibuya, we decided to get something to eat and thought we'd go to Takadanobaba, nearer to where we were staying.

Stay tuned for the next part!
Thanks for reading <3
