What I wore for the Summer Ball 2017

Summer ball this year was a bit strange for me... my boyfriend and a couple of my close friends from my course were all away doing term abroad, but luckily most of the brunch squad and a couple of my other good mates were still here, so I had a great time~ It's not really an OOTD as such, but I thought I'd share what I wore to the summer ball- a little grungy but still a little glam.

It was just a £20 slip dress from ASOS that I wear in the daytime pretty often too, but I felt pretty happy with how I looked and I got a tonne of compliments~ I think the fact that I curled my hair and wore my Russian Red lipstick meant that I was fancy enough. I also used my new Majolica Majorca Majolook eyeshadow pallette, and it's safe to say that I am in love with this!

Dress// ASOS
Choker// Amazon
Necklace// gift
Lipstick// MAC Russian Red
Sukajan Souvenir Jacket// Osaka
Sandals// Topshop

Some hurried mirror shots (as I was rushing out the door)

Also, the selfies I took while I was running in the rain are too funny not to share!

I had such a good night, and I can't wait for all the Japanese Society events next year!! Next year I'll try and get some more decent outfit shots, too. Did you have a prom or end of year party to go to? Do you have a go-to look for them or do you like to switch it up?

  1. I'm loving the red lipstick and black dress combination! I often do the same thing - wear a dress I usually wear during the day but then jazz it up with a bit of makeup and hair styling. I'm glad you had fun!

    1. Thank you <3 I want to buy new 'going out' clothes, but it seems a bit silly when I'm such an anti social turtle, haha :)
