The Metropolitan government building in Tokyo is on every list of 'things you must do in Tokyo' and not without good reason! I honestly can't believe you can get such an awesome view for free! If you're in Shinjuku I'd recommend visiting so much. Side note: there is also an awesome souvenir shop up there with every pop culture thing ever.
On the way, we passed the love sculpture again, it looks pretty different than at night. Still cool though.
Anyhow, the Metropolitan government building is pretty tall and impressive. It's only a few minutes walk from Nishi Shinjuku station. It was an awesome view, as there were a tonne of fairly tall buildings close by. Tokyo is a plain, so unlike my local Kansai, it just stretches on flat for ages.
