Tower Records Haul part Two: Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas: All We Have is Now

Ok, so if you don't know the band "Fear, and loathing in Las Vegas", you need them in your life. They are basically a mix between the most high energy DDR songs and metalcore. I saw their new album and just kind of threw the album into my basket, along with crossfaith and then ran laughing like a maniac to the till. Well, maybe not quite like that. But that was how I felt.

First of all, how beautiful is that album artwork? Love it.

This is my first fear, and loathing in Las Vegas album, and it sure as hell won't be my last! I already love this band to pieces. I don't think I've talked about them on CandyflossOverkill before, but I've been listening to their singles over on their YouTube channel for a while now.
This album shows it isn't messing around in the first track, acceleration. It isn't an intro, but a full length track. The synth is insanely catchy and as soon as you hear it, you can't help but be excited!
The second track, "scream, as loud as you can" is one of the tracks that I'd heard before. It's still as good as I remember. High energy autotune and synth mixed with screaming and awesome guitar :) the shouting chant is also somehow nostalgic for me. There are even some 8-bit melodies in there.
The cutest named track "how old you are never forget your dream" is also great, with power chords that make the pop punk loving side of me very happy indeed.
There are also a couple of interludes in the album, which is a total pace change but still somehow works? I don't know how. The first interlude gradually builds up tempo until it is the same hyper pace as most of the album. The second is a slower synth-driven one at first, and the only way I can describe it is that it sounds like the soundtrack at a theme park. In a good way, of course.
I'd have to say, there isn't a weak track on this album.

Overall, I'm so pleased with my first two purchases from the awesome tower records :D I'm sure by the end of the year, I'll have bankrupted myself there for sure.

Check out Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas' single "Jump Around"
