If you only have a day in Osaka...

I finally took my boyfriend to Osaka, and we didn't have a very long time there so I wanted to introduce Osaka to him in a day. Here's the route I took him, and it's what I'd recommend if you're only in Osaka for a day.

First up is the Shinsaibashi area.
First head to America-Mura to get a taste of the quirky atmosphere (and maybe do a bit of shopping, they have tonnes of vintage shops and a huge SPINNS)
Then walk along Shinsaibashisuji to Doutonbori- spend some time wandering around and grab some Takoyaki from the shop with the huge octopus sign. Of course, there's also the obligatory selfie with Glico man!

After that, walk along to Namba (we went to Namba parks to see the illumination), and then the Nippombashi area and Den Den town, spend some time there shopping if you're Otaku-inclined. Even if you're not, you're sure to find something fun!
After that, head to Shinsekai, you can see the famous view of Tsutenkaku and the blowfish sign. I've heard that Kushikatsu around there is pretty good, too.

After that if you have time, head to Umeda and the Sky Building or the Ferris wheel at Hep five for a view of the city.

We didn't end up going on the ferris wheel, but we did get some doughnuts at Krispy Kreme at JR Osaka station :)

For dinner, you should try some Okonomiyaki, as that's an Osaka speciality :)
So yeah, if you're ever in Osaka, that's what I'd recommend you to do. Of course, I'd always recommend longer than a day though! Osaka is such a great city! (I'm forever in the Osaka fan club, in case you haven't guessed already.

Thanks for reading!
